The Musée de l’Annonciade, housed in a former chapel in the old port, is a reminder that Saint-Tropez was one of the most active centers of avant-garde painting in the early 20th century, thanks to the painter Paul Signac. Known as “the most beautiful of France’s small museums”, this museum contains gems of modern art, mainly from the Pointillist, Nabis and Fauve movements, all influenced by color.
